The third Arkansas Transparency in Government Group Symposium is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, in Room “B” of the Signature Bank Building in Harrison. The building is located 2 blocks northeast of the historic Harrison Town Square.
Symposium participants will hear presentations concerning how to submit FOIA requests, how requests should be answered, the responsibility of nonprofit and nongovernmental agencies--if they receive public funds--and the status of past and present litigation affecting FOIA-related issues.
