


A local man with a long and storied history of Drug and domestic-related felony convictions was sentenced as a habitual offender to six years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with another nine years suspended in circuit court proceedings Wednesday in Fort Smith.
According to documents obtained by Today in Fort Smith, 63-year-old Kenneth L. Clark was handed down the sentenced for two counts of possession of methamphetamine and given concurrent sentencing for a total time of six years. The sentence was also set to run with an existing felony conviction out of Pulaski County.
Clark, who was already in prison on those aforementioned Pulaski County charges, is no stranger to felonies and felony convictions. Dating back to 2013, he has been arrested on eleven counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, nine counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two Domestic Battery and Failure to Appears and one count of Theft by Receiving.
According to his information on the Arkansas Department of Corrections website Clark's initial intake on his current charges came back on December 5, 2016 for seven felony drug convictions. That came after he was sent to the ADC for two years in 2014 on Domestic Battery charges.
A number of Petition to Revoke charges were dropped as part of the plea deal and Clark faces fines and court charges that will have to be paid in installments starting 90-days after his release.
