Montgomery County accident claims 30-year-old Farmington woman

A 30-year-old Farmington woman has died as the result of a one-vehicle accident that occurred Friday night along a rural stretch of State Highway 270 west of Pencil Buff in Montgomery County, according to the Arkansas State Police.


Lisa Michelle Twardowski was killed in at 10:28 p.m. on Friday when the 1999 Honda CRV SUV in which she was a passenger hydroplaned while attempting to negotiate a curve, sliding from the eastbound lane and overturning. The vehicle them rolled down and embankment before striking a tree.


The driver, 31-year-old Alex Shane Harp, suffered injuries in thee accident that required him to bee transported to St. Vincent's Hospital in Hot Springs in unknown condition.


Trooper Firryne Shelton noted the roadway was wet from rainy conditions at the time of the accident.


Twardowski's death marks the 187th for the year on Arkansas roadways.
