A 41-year-old Fort Smith woman who was arrested twice within a two-month span earlier in the year then was arrested again on November 17 on double failure to appear charges was sent to prison for thirty-years after a plea deal this week in Sebastian County Circuit Court,

Kristy Nguyet Lester, a Fort Smith resident of the 2700 block of South 80th Street, was sentenced on Possession of Methamphetamine with the Purpose to Deliver, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of [Schedule VI Controlled Substance] with the Purpose to Deliver as well as Failure to Appear charges.

She had received a suspended sentence on similar charges in October of this year, according to Arkansas Court Connect, but the September arrest coupled with Failure to Appear on those charges resulted in the court action on Wednesday.

She also was given an additional twenty-years suspended during the proceeding and the Petition to Revoke was withdrawn.
