Fort smith drug investigation results in five felony charges against local woman

On June 13, the Fort Smith Police Department arrested 48-year-old Patricia Garcia after serving a narcotics search warrant in the 3500 block of N 31st Street.

During the search, 9.2 pounds of methamphetamine and more than $34,157 in cash from drug proceeds were seized along with 3.87 pounds of marijuana.

Garcia is facing charges of trafficking a controlled substance, maintaining a premises for drug activity, possession of drug paraphernalia-felony, and possession of Schedule VI substances with intent to deliver.
