Fort Smith drug arrest results in 20-year sentence for methamphetamine-related charges


A Fort Smith man n who was facing seven felony counts stemming from drug-related charges was sentenced to 25 years in prison with an additional, 30 years suspended on the back side of an open plea deal Wednesday in Sebastian County Circuit Court.


Levi Bradford Woodey, 33. was arrested on December 20 of last year and charged with Drug Trafficking, Maintaining a Premises for Drug Activity, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Absconding. On Wednesday, he was sentenced as a habitual offender on two amended counts for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.


That December arrest also led to a parole violation and mirrored an August incarceration for similar charges. Woodey has been involved in various felonious activities dating back almost a decade.


Woodey was also credited with time served since his December 20 arrest.
