Former Fort Smith resident arrested in Pope County for possession of child pornography


A 57-year-old Clarksville man was arrested this week in Johnson County and charged with Distributing, Possessing or Veiwing Sexual Content Involving a Child.


Policr say Douglas Harrol Dodson was taken into custody on Thursday just before 4:30 p.m. and was released on an unspecified bond approximately 18 hours later on March 9.


No information on the arrest or the number ofn charges filed against Dodson had been bosted on Arkansas Court Connect as of clos of business Friday.


In fact, the only court interaction on ACC involving Dodson was an appearance in Crawford County traffic court in 2002 for a speeding ticket.


Social media information shows that Dodson was once a Fort Smith resident and was a Bibicial and Theological student at a Dallas, Texas bible college. He has also lived in West Fork, Bentonville and Fayetteville in the past.
