A 21-year-old Siloam springs woman is dead as a result of an ATV accident that occurred Friday on Madison County 7855 within the Huntsville city limits.
According to a report from the Madison County Sheriff Office posted by the Department of Public safety, Destiny Smith was riding a 2019 Polaris RZR southbound on Madison County Road 7855 near the intersection of Madison 7755. She lost control of the ATV which overturned and rolled several times before coming to rest in a ditch on the west side of the roadway.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene in her body was transferred to the Madison County Funeral Home. The accident was worked by traffic officer Cooper s Smith of the Madison County Sheriff's Office who said that weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
According to the report the accident occurred at 7:15 Friday night.
Smith's death pushes the total of highway fatalities in Arkansas for 2023 to 222.
