Arkansas State Police: Yell County accident claims two on Monday afternoon
The Arkansas State Police says two people were killed in a two-vehicle accident on Monday inside the city limits of Danville in Yell County.
According to the ASP report published on Tuesday, 35-year-old Kayla Morris and an unidentified minor male died when the 2015 Toyota driven by Morris crossed the centerline on Arkansas 154 and struck a westbound 2003 Dodge driven by 56-year-old Reid Bethel, also of Danville.
Police say the Toyota ran off the north shoulder of the road, overcorrected and came back into the westbound lane before striking the Dodge.
Bethel and three other passengers in the Bethel vehicle were all injured and transported to UAMS, St. Mary's and St Vincent's hospitals for treatment. The injured included 46-year-oldd Jessica Bethel, 18-year-old Jade Bethell and 20 year -old Ethan Robles, all of Danville.
Cpl. Brian Johnson of the ASP worked the accident and reported conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident, which occurred just after 6 p.m. Monday.
