Cold Case Files: No new leads in the mysterious disappearance of Valentin Usaty in January 2023

It has been more than two and a half years since 52-year-old Valentin Usaty vanished from Fayetteville, leaving behind his family, his phone, and his wallet.


Extensive searches and ongoing appeals for information, the mystery surrounding his disappearance remains unsolved.


Usaty, described as a white male standing 6’1” and weighing around 210 pounds, has gray or partially gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on January 19, 2023.


Authorities with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office classified his case as “endangered missing” because of his age and the troubling circumstances.


Investigators launched searches of nearby areas in the days following his disappearance, but no significant clues were found. Adding another layer of intrigue, Usaty is believed to have ties to the Russian-speak


As of this week, no official updates or confirmed sightings have been reported.


Authorities are urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at (479) 444-5700 or submitted anonymously to the Arkansas State Police at 1-800-660-8477.
