A one-car accident on Tuesday evening claimed the life of Coly Linn, a 37-year-old resident of Madison County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
.The incident occurred on State Highway 265 in rural Washington County just after 7:35 pm Tuesday night.
According to the ASP preliminary report, the accident occurred when 27-year-old of Westville, Ok. the driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Sonic, failed to negotiate a right-hand curve on State Highway 265 West. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree head-on.
Coly Linn, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Jones was injured and transported to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigating state trooper Zackary C. Rogers noted rainy conditions and wet roads at the time of the crash which resulted in the 417th Arkansas roadway fatality of the year.
