Wet road conditions a factor in I-40 death of Maumelle man Wednesday

A one-vehicle accident on Wednesday in the Pottsville area on Interstate 40 in Pope County killed a nineteen year-old Maumelle resident, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Noah Woodall, the driver of a 2014 Volkswagon, was traveling eastbound on I-40 near mile marker 86 when his car exited the roadway to the left and struck a tree in the median area. The Volkswagon rotated counter clockwise before coming to rest in the median facing south.

Trooper Brandon Bird worked the accident and noted it was raining and the pavement was wet at the time of the accident.
