Weekend solo vehicle crash on Lock and Dam Road in Leflore County proves fatal to Fort Coffee man

A Fort Coffee man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Lock and Dam Road in LeFlore County early Saturday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol
The crash occurred at approximately 7:55 a.m. Robert K. Mann, 58, was driving northbound when his vehicle veered off the road to the right, re-entered the roadway, and overcorrected, causing it to roll over and come to rest upside down.
Mann was pronounced dead at the scene by LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services.
No other vehicles were involved.
The incident took place on Lock and Dam Road, a narrow and winding route near the W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River, known for its hazardous conditions.
The OHP is investigating the cause of the crash, and details regarding weather, vehicle type, or other factors have not been released. The investigation by OHP Troop I is ongoing.
