Wednesday afternoon pedestrian accident proves fatal to 29-year-old Bentonville man

According to information from the Arkansas State Police, a 29-year-old Bentonville man was struck and killed in an accident Wednesday afternoon just before 5 p.m. inside the Bentonville city limits..
The ASP preliminary report says Carl Cantrell of Bentonville was attempting to cross State Highway 102 just east of South P Street when he was struck by an eastbound 2011 Isuzu NPR, Campbell had made it across three lanes before he was struck by the vehicle.
Cantrell was taken to the Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officer Kyler Pinkley of the Bentonville Police Department worked the accident and noted clear weather and dry roadways at the time of the impact..
