Warrant arrest in Johnson County leads to discovery of cache of drug paraphernalia
Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff Office executed a search warrant Tuesday at a residence on CR 4491 in rural Johnson County, while searching for wanted fugtive Barry Cameron.
Cameron had been sought on a felony warrant for failure to appear on drug charges. Cameron had been hiding from deputies during their multiple previous attempts to locate him.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence which he was believed to be hiding in by Deputy Nancy Patton. The deputies had to force entry and Cameron was found hiding inside.
During a search of the residence, a concealed compartment was found in a wall. A large amount of suspected drug paraphernalia was located inside the hole, as well as surveillance cameras mounted outside the home.
All of the evidence was seized and turned over to the 5th Judicial Drug Task Force.
The search warrant was served by members of the JCSO patrol division, numerous investigators, K9 and an agents with probation and parole.
