Wanted fugitive arrested Sunday afternoon by Sequoyah County law enforcement officials



A 39-year-old Oklahoma man who was imprisoned for Soliciting Sexual Conduct of Communication with Minor by use of Technology in 2015 was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and two felony drug-related crimes on Sunday.


According to booking information from the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office, Leslie Weese, who was sent to prison in 2016 for two years after his arrest In Canadian County, was booked into the Sequoyah County Detention Center just after 1 p.m. Sunday on the registration charge as well as felony counts of Trafficking in Illegal Drugs and Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine.


In that 2016 sentencing, he was given ten years with eight years suspended. He was arrested again in 2018 for Failure to Comply with Conditions of Parole and failed to show on those charges. He was arrested in 2019 for failing to register in Alfalfa County but bailed out at that time and has been a fugitive and unregistered in the state of Oklahoma since that time.
