Walmart employee faces 11 counts of Possession or Viewing Explicit Material Depicting a Child

A 41-year-old Rogers man remains in custody of the Benton County Detention Center after an arrest on Thursday on eleven separate counts of Distributing, Possession or Viewing Explicit Material Depicting a Child.

Rocky Gene Chouinard, who Facebook page identifies him as the store

at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 808 Walnut in Rogers, was arrested on the Class C felony charge and remains jailed on no bond hold awaiting a hearing next week.

Arkansas law prohibits distributing, possessing, or viewing by any means an image, video, or computer file that shows a child (younger than 17) engaged in sexually explicit conduct. A first conviction is a Class C felony. Any subsequent convictions for the offense are punished as Class B felonies.

Since Today in Fort Smith was late getting notification of the crimes we were unable to talk to the detective who made the arrest for any other details. Also, nothing was posted to Arkansas Court Connect about the case before close of business on Friday.

This is a developing story and we will release more details as they become available.
