Waldron man killed when truck runs off State Highway 28 and strikes culvert in rural Scott County


A 74-year-old Waldron man was killed last Friday in a one-vehicle accident that occurred along a rural stretch of State Highway 28 in Scott County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
According to a preliminary report filed by trooper Landen Reather, Willam Gould was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on State Highway 28 just after 8:30 p.m Friday night when he ran off the road and struck a culvert. The truck then rolled over and came to rest on its passenger side.
The accident occurred inside the Parks community about one-mile east of US Highway 71.
Trooper Reather reported clear weather and dry roadways at the time of the crash.
