According to information from the Fort Smith Police Department Facebook page, an accident on Wednesday just after 6 p.m. proved fatal to one area resident.
At approximately 6:10 PM Wednesday, Fort Smith Police responded to a two-vehicle fatality accident on Waldron Rd in front of Duncan. The accident involved an SUV and motorcycle.
The motorcycle driver was deceased upon arrival.
As of 10:30 am Thursday morning, the identity of the victim had not been released by either the FSPD, the Arkansas State Police, or the state Department of Public Safety pending notification of next of kin.
