Law enforcement officials in Northwest Arkansas say an unknown male that was driving a Honda Accord east on West Don Tyson parkway was killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday night at just after 7:00 p.m.
The Arkansas State Police posted a preliminary report on Sunday morning detailing the accident that occurred at the intersection of West Don Tyson Parkway and Tara Street in Springdale.
According to that report the unidentified mail was driving a 2001 Honda Accord eastbound on the road when the Honda crossed the center line and struck a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 76-year-old Joyce Marie available of Springdale.
According to information supplied to the ASP by the Springdale Police Department, the driver of the Accord was pronounced dead at the scene. Venable was transported to the Washington Regional Medical facility in Fayetteville where she was treated for undetermined injuries
The report stated the roadway was wet from rain and the weather conditions were cloudy at the time of the accident.
