A Green Forest woman died Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle in Carroll County, according to a preliminary report issued by the Arkansas State Police.
Police say a 2003 Toyota was traveling south on Highway 103 near the Oak Grove community Oak Grove around 5:25 p.m when Linda R. Bloomquist, 74, attempted to cross the roadway and was struck .
The accident occurred at 5:25 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 103 and State Highway 21 in rural Carroll County.
Bloomquist was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigating trooper Ronnie Boyd of Troop L reported conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
