Van Buren woman sentenced to 22-years in ADC for drug trafficking convictions in plea deal

A thirty-year-old Van Buren woman was given 22 years of an imposed sentence with an additional 18-years suspended last week after a plea deal in Sebastian Couty Circuit Court oncounts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Trafficking in Methamphetamine stemming from a June arrest which also triggered a petition to revoke for a previous probation.
Victoria Danielle Howard drew the hard sentence after the plea on the June crimes. Originally sentenced in early 2021 to a year in prison for various drug infractions Howard had been released from prison and placed on probation later the same year.
By January 6 of this year, she was once again incarcerated but got out of jail again in time to be arrested in June the two drug charges, a parole violation, and the petition to revoke.
Howard had been in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center since her June arrest and now awaits trang=fer to the ADC.
