Van Buren man dead after one-vehicle accident in rural Sebastian County

According to information released by the Arkansas State Police, a local construction worker was killed in the early morning hours of Saturday when the 1999 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving in rural Sebastian County failed to negotiate a curve and he was ejected from the vehicle.


Police say Nathan John Dziubek, 26, of Van Buren was driving west on Dayton Road near Huntington and left the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn.

According to the official police report, Dziubek was pinned beneath the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.


Sgt. Danial Bazar worked the accident for the Sebastian County Sheriff Office and noted conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident, which occurred at 6:48 am.


The fatality was the 126th death stemming from the 116 deadly accidents in Arkansas since the first of the year.
