A 43-year-old Van Buren sex offender who lives in the 900 block of Pleasant Valley Road was arrested Thursday after an investigation by Homeland Security resulted on a charge of Possessing, Viewing or Distributing Matter Depicting Sexual Contact with Children.
Paul Wesley Ramsey, who was given a 60 month sentence in 2008 for an August 2007 Sexual Assault in the Second Degree back in 1998, remains jailed as of Saturday night on the $150,000 legally sufficient bond that was set on Friday in Crawford County Circuit Court.
His 1997 conviction was out of the 12th District Court in Greenwood on the sexual assault charges. He was charged with two counts of his crime and given a 180 month suspended sentence t0 go along with his five year term at Arkansas Department of Corrections.
