Unidentified teenage motorcycle rider killed in head-on collision Saturday morning in Garfield

A collision between a motorcycle and a Dodge truck in Benton County on Saturday resulted in the death of a teenage driver, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The juvenile, who has not been identified, was driving a Honda CFR 80 motorcycle at the time of the accident in Garfield , according to an Arkansas Department of Public Safety (DPS) crash report.

According to the report, the motorcycle was approaching a curve on Main Street at 11;42 a.m. while heading west. The motorcycle was struck head-on by an eastbound 2005 Dodge Dakota truck near the intersection of Main and Oak Streets.

Deputy Michael Dowdle worked the accident and noted the roads were dry and clear in the preliminary report.
