

A northwest Arkansas accident in the early morning hours of Sunday resulted in the death of an unnamed minor and injuries severe enough to send five individuals to local medical facilities for treatment of unspecified injuries.
According to a report by and from the Arkansas State Police, a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 39-year-old Alex Soliz of Fort Smith, was traveling westbound on Fulbright expressway at 4:35 a.m. Sunday morning.
A 2019 eastbound Toyota Camry collided front to front with the equinox causing severe front-end damage to both vehicles and resulting in the death of a minor passenger in the Chevrolet.
In addition to the fatality, three people in the Soliz vehicle and two in the Toyota Camry were transported to either Washington Regional Medical Center or Northwest Arkansas Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
Those included the driver of the Camry, 27-year-old Alex Rios Rodriguez at Farmington, and his passenger, 32-year-old Eric Valera-Pecina of Fayetteville. Injuries in the Equinox included Soliz, 29-year-old Joshua Fedorchak of Bella Vista, and 23-year-old Bentonville resident Mi Yin Garza.
The attending officer for the accident was Trooper Tyler S. Smith of the Arkansas State Police who listed clear weather conditions in a dry roadway at the time of the impact.
