The Arkansas State Police says a pair of eighteen year-old Scott County residents died in a one vehicle accident that occurred on a rural stretch of State Highway 27 in the Chickalah community in Yell County on Saturday.
Police say Chase K. Hale of Waldron and Jenna M. Singleton of Boles were both killed when a 2016 Nissan driven by Chase exited the roadway from the northbound lane, went into a ditch, struck a telephone pole and fence line. It them struck an embankment and overturned in a creek.
Both of the teenager were declared dead at the scene and taken to the Yell County Coroners Office.
Trooper Stewart R. Condley noted conditions were clear and the roadway at the time of the accident, which occurred at 7:20 a.m.
