According to the Arkansas State Police two people in a heads-on crash involving two vehicles died inn an accident early Sunday morning in Lowell.
The ASP preliminary report filed Sunday morning says Elenora Davis, 44, and Evelyn Shamory, 49, both of Springdale, died when the 2014 Ford in which they were traveling northbound on Highway 264 was hit by a southbound 2004 Chevrolet.
The Chevrolet, driven by Luis Ruiz, 29, 0f Springdale, crossed the centerline and hiot the Ford causing it to cross over a driveway go into a ditch. The Ford, driven by Davis, rolled over on the drivers side and came to rest in the northbound lane of the road.
Ruiz and a second passenger in the Davis vehicle, 57-year-old Joanna Kelek of Springdale, were both transported to Mercy Northwest Arkansas in Springdale for treatment of unspecified injuries.
