Twenty-seven-year-old Fayetteville man dead after Sunday night accident in rural Carroll County




A 27-year-old Fayetteville man became the 297th fatality on Arkansas Roads and highways for the year on Sunday in a one-vehicle accident in rural Carroll County, according to the Arkansas State Police.


According to an ASP preliminary report, Riker was driving a 2006 Lexxus southbound on State Highway 23 at approximately 8:20 Sunday night along a stretch of rural highway when he lost control while trying g to negotiate a right-hand turn. The Lexxus exited the roadway to the est, overturned and then struck several tress before coming o rest.


Riker was pronounced dead at the scene.


Trooper Jacob Graham worked the accident for the state police and noted clear weather and dry roads at the time of the accident.
