Tulsa man remains behind bars in Mayes County for attempted meet-up with minor for sex

George K. Mathu, 42, of Tulsa, was arrested last week by the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Violation of Oklahoma Computer Crimes - Felony, Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts to a Child, Soliciting or Aiding Minor Child or Perform Obscenity, and Child Sexual Exploitation.
Mathu, who remains behind bars in the Mayes County jail, is accused of making lewd proposals to a minor and attempting to meet with the child for sexual reasons. Police say Mathu, who was arrested July 12, was texting a minor and agreed to meet up with the child.
Online sources show former addresses for Mathu in Dallas, and he was convicted in 2009 in of minor traffic violation in 2009 in Clearwater, Florida. No other online information about previous crimes is available.
As of 11 am on Monday no bond had been set in the case.
