

The Arkansas State Police released details on Wednesday morning about an accident Tuesday in Newton County that took the life of a 45-year-old Harrison man.
Police officials say 45-year-old Dustin Vandusen was traveling southbound on Highway 65 in a 2004 Toyota. While attempting to negotiate a curve within the Western Grove city limits, the Vandusen vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2019 northbound Toyota.
Troopers say th wreck occurred at 7:45 am Tuesday.
Vandusen was transported to the North Arkansas Regional Medical facility in Harrison where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigating trooper Corporal Justin S. Ricketts noted clear weather conditions and a dry payment at the time of the accident.
Vandusen's death was the 16th of the year o Arkansas roadways since the beginning of 2023.
