A Delaware County man died from a fatality automobile crash collision in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday, according to information reported today by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
James Gann, 67, of Jay, was killed in the crash on Sunday around 2 p.m. on South 670 Road, approximately four miles north of Colcord.
Gann was northbound on South 670 Road in a 2001 Ford F150 pickup when he failed to negotiate a curve. He exited the roadway, hit left the roadway and struck several trees before the truck rolled and came to a stop on the east side of the highway
He was pinned for an unknown amount of time before he was eventually extricated by the Jay Fire Department,
The cause of the collision is under investigation, the OHP reported.
