A hearing has been set for 8:30 am Tuesday for one of the two men accused in the March, 2020 murders of Terry Beall and Amanda Knecht who were located in a vacant house in the 400 block of North 12th Street on March 15 of that year.

Mark Trenton Williams, 62, along with fifty-four-year-old Marion Ray Brown were arrested the bodies of the victims on warrants after police located the victims in th trash-filled home just a few blocks from the city's downtown area.

Tuesday's hearing is scheduled to address William's petition concerning criminal responsibility and fitness to proceed in the Class Y, First Degree Murder case.

Officers responding to the scene in 2020 found the body of Beall first and during the course of the investigation located the remains of Knecht later. The home was vacant and sources say it was used by a number of transients leading up to the murders.

Williams, who has remained jailed at the Sebastian County Detention Center on $507,500 in bonds since his arrest, also faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Contempt.
