A former Rogers therapist, Christopher James Abbey, was arrested on April 22, 2025, by the Siloam Springs Police Department, facing multiple charges related to the delivery of methamphetamine or cocaine.

The arrest, stemming from four counts under Arkansas statute 5-64-422(b)(1) for delivery of less than 2 grams of methamphetamine or cocaine, marks a significant fall from grace for a man once entrusted with the mental health of clients.
According to court records, Abbey was apprehended following the issuance of an arrest warrant by Benton County authorities after selling drugs to confidential informants and undercover officers on four different occasions.
The surrender of his license, combined with the serious nature of the charges, suggests a possible connection to prior professional misconduct or personal struggles that may have led to his alleged criminal activity.
In related news, Abbey was the former therapist for Alli Warnick, a Benon County woman who was found dead in her cell at the Benton County Detention Center back in the first week of March.
Numerous sources have come forth to say Abbey and Warnick had a "personal relationship" that extended past the revocation of his therapist license on March 4, 2022. A confidential source has told Today in Fort Smith that Abbey and Warnick were "together" on the two days before her March 5 death this year.

Abbey was also involved in a 2020 order of protection case against an unnamed woman in Washington County Circuit Court.
The plaintiff told police Abbey was stalking her. In part of her lengthy petition for the order of protection, the woman stated, "Christoper Abbey was my counselor and my daughter's counselor and the relationship turned sexual and now he won't leave me alone."
The latest charges allege that Abbey was involved in the distribution of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine or cocaine, in quantities less than 2 grams per instance.
The Benton County Circuit Court has not yet announced a trial date.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information related to the case to contact the Siloam Springs Police Department or the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Crime Tips line at (501) 303-5744.
