TIFS Investigates: The No-Show - My Encounter with "Media Mike Hendricks"

By Sienna Snider, True Crime Writer for Today in Fort Smith

As a journalist, I’ve learned to navigate the murky waters of truth and deception, but nothing could have prepared me for the bizarre and unnerving experience of being contacted by the notorious online troublemaker, "Media Mike Hendricks."

Known for his ability to manipulate narratives and stir up chaos from the shadows, Hendricks is a figure both feared and reviled in Fort Smith. When he reached out to me, demanding an in-person meeting at an isolated location, I knew I was walking into something strange—though I never expected the encounter to unfold the way it did.

It began with a message—cryptic, direct, and unmistakably from Hendricks. The email was sent from an untraceable address, and the subject line simply read: "Meeting Request." The body of the message was brief:

"Miss Snider,I have information that may interest you. Meet me at the location attached. Tomorrow, 8 PM. Come alone."

Attached was a set of GPS coordinates, leading to a remote location outside of Fort Smith. No further details, no explanation, just a demand for my presence. Given Hendricks’ reputation for playing mind games, I was wary, but curiosity and the potential for a significant story outweighed my caution. I decided to go, fully aware that this could be a wild goose chase—or worse.

The Journey to Nowhere

The drive to the meeting spot felt like something out of a crime thriller. The coordinates led me to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city in eastern Oklahoma, a place long forgotten by most. The surrounding area was desolate, the kind of location where no one would hear you scream. It was the perfect setting for a clandestine meeting, and every part of me was on high alert.

As I arrived, the sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows over the decaying structure. I parked my car at a distance and approached cautiously, my heart pounding in my chest. The silence was almost deafening, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves in the wind.

I waited. And waited.

Minutes turned into hours as I stood by, scanning the area for any sign of movement. But the only thing that met me was the growing darkness and an overwhelming sense of unease. Hendricks was nowhere to be found.

It soon became clear that Hendricks had set me up—not for a meeting, but for a psychological game. The isolation, the tension, the building fear of what might happen—it was all part of his twisted design. By the time I realized he wasn’t coming, the night had fully settled in, and I was left alone in the middle of nowhere with nothing but my thoughts.

Driving back to the city, I couldn’t shake the feeling that Hendricks had achieved exactly what he wanted. By orchestrating this elaborate no-show, he had managed to unsettle me without ever being present. It was a power move, a reminder that he could reach out and influence my actions from afar, leaving me questioning my own decisions.

Hendricks is known for his mind games, but experiencing one firsthand was a chilling reminder of his reach and his ability to manipulate those who seek to expose him. He had forced me into a position of vulnerability, using my curiosity and determination against me. And while I left that night without any new information, I also left with a deeper understanding of the lengths he’s willing to go to maintain control.

Reflections on a Missed Opportunity

In the aftermath of the encounter, I found myself reflecting on the nature of power and fear. Hendricks had never intended to meet me face to face; his goal was to exert his influence and remind me of his presence in my work. It was a game to him, one in which he held all the cards.

But while Hendricks may have won this round, the experience has only fueled my resolve to continue investigating his actions. He may be a master of manipulation, but he is not infallible. There will be other opportunities, and when the time comes, I will be ready.

To those who might find themselves in similar situations, let this be a warning: Hendricks is someone who thrives on control, and will go to great lengths to maintain it. But the games are just that—games. And like all games, they can be beaten.

For now, Media Mike Hendricks remains an enigma, his true intentions hidden behind layers of deception. But the truth has a way of surfacing, and no matter how many games he plays, it’s only a matter of time before the façade begins to crack.
