The Arkansas State Police say that a Mulberry man died and two people were injured in a bizarre accident involving two vehicles and two motorcycles Thursday in Faulkner County.
According to the ASP preliminary report, Timothy White , 41, of Mulberry was driving a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on US Highway 64 just east of Sherry Drive in Conway along with James Mickan, 60, of Coal Hill, who was on a 2014 Harley Davidson FLHXS. The two men were in the center lane preparing to turn into the Highway 64 Country Store when the accident occurred.
An eastbound 1998 Dodge Ram driven by Matthew Gonzales, 27, of Vilona crossed over into the center lane and the motorcyclists applied their brakes, and the two Harley's collided. The impact rolled White's motorcycle into the eastbound lane.
The Dodge Ram struck White in the roadway. Gonzales got out of his truck to check on the victim and was struck by a fourth vehicle, and eastbound 2015 Hyundai Accent. Gonzales was taken to Conway Regional Medical Center with undetermined injuries.
Troop A trooper John Howington noted that the rainy conditions and slick and wet roadway may have factored into the accident.
White's death was the 359th traffic fatality in the state for 2020.
