Thursday two-vehicle accident in Bentonville takes life of 71-year-old Bella Vista man




A two-vehicle collision on Thursday in Benton County killed a 71-year-old Bella Vista man and sent his 70-year-old female passenger to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.


Thomas R. Rodabaugh was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report filed with the Arkansas State Police by Bentonville police officer Kerry Pippin. Christine L. Rodabaugh, 70, was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville for treatment.


According to the report, the Rodabaugh's were in a 2017 Kia Soul northbound on US Highway 71B at the intersection of North Walton Boulevard and Northwest A Street when a 2003 westbound Nissan XTR attempted to make a left turn and struck the Kia.


The driver of the Nissan was not identified in the report.


Corporal Pippin noted the weather was clear and the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, which occurred at 12:54 p.m.
