Three out-of-state children were killed in a LeFlore County crash and two other occupants of the vehicle were transported to an Arkansas hospital according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after a Wednesday morning accident near Muse.
Police said three juvenile males from Columbus, Georgia--aged 6, 8, and 9--died in the 9:30 a.m. accident involving a 2017 Volvo Truck being driven by a 37-year-old man from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The car was traveling on US-259 southeast of Muse when the accident occurred. Both the driver of the vehicle and his passenger, a 31-year-old female from Columbus, was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, where both were admitted in stable condition.
The OHP says no one was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash which was still being investigated at the time of the press release.
