Three arrests, six felonies result in two years prison sentence for Fort Smith woman

Dawn Marie Clark

A 49-year-old Fort Smith woman will spend some time in the Arkansas Department of Corrections after a plea deal Thursday in Sebastian County District Court on various drug charges after an April arrest on a Felony Petition to Revoke.

Dawn Marie Clark entered a voluntary guilty plea on Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was sentence to two years on each count for a total of twelve years, but the concurrent status of the convictions reduces her prison time to two years.

Clark, given credit for time served and based on good behavior, could be released as early as mid-2022. She also had a total of 28-years of suspended sentences, with eight of those years coming on the purpose to deliver conviction.

Once released from prison, Clark must start $60 a month payments to the court within 90 days to cover court cost and fees.

Thursday's sentencing covered crimes committed over three arrests between July 8, 2020 and April 12, 2021.
