Thirty-four-year-old catches six years in prison on a trio of drug-related charges with plea deal


A 34-year-old man who has been arrested fourteen times times and picked up thuirty different charges in Sebastian County since 2019 was sent to prison this week on a number of drug related activities according to information from the Sebastian County Circuit Court..

Joseph Dale Caldwell, who's listed address with the court is in the 7000 block of Dianne Drive in Port Richey Florida, had two charges dropped and was sentenced to six years with an additional 14 years suspended as a habitual offender in a court session Wednesday.


The booking information from the Fort Smith Police Department shows Caldwell's hometown as Fort Smioth.

Caldwell was facing charges of maintaining a premises for drug activity, manufacturer of scheduled VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to booking information from Sebastian County, Caldwell had been free on a $25,000 legally sufficient bond since his last arrest in November of last year..


In addition to a number of contemot and failure to appear charges, Caldwell has racked up an impressive array of arrests dating back over the past four years. Those arrests have included theft of the propert, possession of controlled substances, possession of paraphernalia, and criminal trespass as well as one driving while intoxicated charge.


According to information from Arkansas Court Connect, Caldwell went into court on Wednesday with five open cases on court dockets in Sebastian and Crawford counties..


The latest charge filed against him were April 10th of this year in Crawford County when he was hit with possession of drug paraphernalia / meth/cocaine /heroin or fentanyl after a recent arrest. Caldwell remains in the custody of the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center awaiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
