A Barling woman who initially entered a non-guilty plea on a number of charges changed her tune Wednesday in Sebastian County Circuit Court, copping to a guilty plea on two Theft by Receiving counts and landing three years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with seven years suspended, according to court records.

Rebecca Leigh Wilson, 31, who has been arrested on various felony accounts at least five times since May of last year, has been in the SCADC since July and with credit for jailtime served and based on good behavior could be eligible for parole in February, 2023.

Wilson was arrested on the Theft by Receiving charges as well as a Felony Failure to Appear on July 23 of this year by the Barling Police Department. In addition to the charges she was sentenced for on Wednesday, she has had arrests for Burglary and five separate drug charges, all of which that saw her receive probations or suspended imposition of sentences.

Wilson remains in the SCADC awaiting transfer to state prison.
