Thanksgiving morning accident on US Highway 64 in Franklin County fatal to Ozark resident

A 32-year-old Ozark man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning on US Highway 64 in rural Franklin County,
According to information from the Arkansas State Police, Brandon Lee Gattis was westbound on US Highway 64 at 2:489 a.m. when the 2000 Chevrolet he was driving ran off the road after he lost control in the 4600 block. According to the ASP preliminary report, the vehicle struck a culvert and overturned.
Gattis was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Trooper Tyler Williams, the weather was rainy and the roadway was wet at the time of the crash.
Gattis' death was the 574th for the year on Arkansas roads and highways.
