An 86-year-old Rogers woman became the 121st traffic fatality for the year in Arkansas on Sunday in a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 412 at County Road 382 in Sonora.
The Arkansas State Police says Joan Corliss of Rogers was northbound on the county road in a 2003 Chevy S10 and failed to stop and yield, moving into the path of a vehicle traveling eastbound on US Highway 412.
The second vehicle, a 2019 Chevy Trax driven by 26-year-old Amandaa Beck of Hindsville, impacted the drivers side of the Corliss truck resulting in the fatal injuries.
Beck was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The accident occurred at 2:24 p.m. according to the ASP report.
