Sunday night crash in rural Carroll County proves fatal to Green Forest eighteen-year-old

A Sunday night one-vehicle rollover accident in rural Carroll County claimed the life of an eighteen year-old Green Fo9rest man, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Officers say Matthew Jay Hausman was driving west in a Chevrolet Silverado along Carroll County 601 just before 8:30 pm when he veered off the left side of the highway and struck a tree. The truck rolled over on it's top before coming to rest.

Hausman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation trooper listed conditions as clear and dry at the time of the accident.

At least 191 people have died as a result of crashes on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures provided by the state Department of Public Safety.
