Sunday morning crash inBentonville proved deadly to 25-year-old Pea Ridge resident

A solo accident claimed the life of a Pea Ridge man early Sunday morning when his motorcycle collided with a tree along SE 10th Street in Bentonville.

According to Bentonville Police, 25-year-old Jacob Gill was riding a 2020 Harley Davidson northbound near the intersection of SE Integrity Drive around 2:23 a.m. when he attempted a left turn and lost control of the vehicle

. Investigators report that the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree. Wet road conditions and ongoing rain at the time may have contributed to the crash.

Gill, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Benton County Coroner’s Office, and next of kin have been notified.
