A fifty-seven year-old sex offender who resides in Springdale was arrested this week and charged with two counts of failing to register as a sex 0pffender, which triggered a parole violation .
Bail was set at $2500 on the failure to register charged, but Barton Hennen remains jailed on a no- bond hold as of Thursday morning on the Parole Violation. Hennen, who was arrested by the Springdale Police Department, listed his address during the booking process as currently being in the 700 block of Thompson Avenue in Springdale.
Hennen is currently listed with the Thompson Street address with the state of Arkansas, indicating that he may have just failed to meet other registration requirements that led to his arrest.
Hennen, a Level 2 sex offender, was originally convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. He was sentenced in August of last year to five years in prison for the same offense.
