Springdale man killed in Fayetteville accident Wednesday night on Fullbright Expressway

A 43-year-old Springdale man died in a one-vehicle on the Fulbright Expressway Wednesday night according to a preliminary accident report by the Arkansas State Police.
Police say Travis Knotts was killed when the 2003 Hyundai he was driving west on the Fullbright Expressway in Fayetteville and lost control when he failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a dirt embankment and overturned.
The Hyundai slid across the road and crossed the westbound onramp of the Expressway, coming to rest on the passenger side before bursting into flames.
Knotts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Coroners Office.
Trooper Mason Redding noted the clear weather and dry roadway at the time of the accident which occurred at 10:50 p.m.
The death of Knotts represents the 379th fatal accident in Arkansas for the year.
