Spiro-based youth baseball league cancels season after coach/parent tests positive for Covid-19
A youth baseball league based in Spiro involving tee-ball and other teams has closed down with just a few games left in the shortened and modified season because one of the team coaches/parents has tested positive for Covid 19, according to a source.
Most teams in the tee-ball division had completed four of the five scheduled games for the year on Tuesday with some teams playing double headers. Parents were notified today that the finals games of the year scheduled for next week have all been cancelled.
The individual that tested positive and the team they are associated with has not been identified. The league is comprised of team from Spiro, Panama, Pocola, Arkoma and the surrounding area.
