Solo crash on State Highway 45 in Sebastian County kills Hackett man on Saturday

Officials with the Arkansas State Police say a 34-year-old Hackett Man is dead after a one-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday at 4:45 p.m. on State Highway 45 in rural Sebastian County.

According to information from a preliminary report by the ASP Dakota Gardner was driving a 2001 Dodge South on State Highway 45 when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the right. collided with a tree and then overturned. 

The Dodge then struck a second tree before coming to rest on the driver side facing west. 

Eric Hoegh of the Arkansas State Police investigated the accident and noted clear weather conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the crash. 

Gardner's death is athe 303rd of the year and in 269 fatality accidents.
