Small plane crash in Wagoner County sends pilot to hospital via helicopter

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, along the Federal Aviation Administration, is investigating the crash of a small plane in Wagoner County on Saturday morning.

Reports say the aircraft deported the small airport in Haskell just after 8 a.m. Saturday morning and the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office and Wagoner County Emergency Management started getting reports of the incident just before 8:30.

The plane went down in the area of East 205th and State Highway 72 just south of Coweta after experiencing "unknown issues" according to the OHP.

The unknown pilot, the lone occupant of the plane, was airlifted to an area hospital for what was listed as "significant injuries".
